Join us for a fireside chat on cybersecurity with industry experts.

Thomas McDermott, Partner, CohnReznick Cybersecurity, Technology Risk and Privacy

Tom provides specialized advisory services in a variety of areas, including cybersecurity, IT risk management and governance, information security, and compliance across a broad range of industries. Tom leverages his experience and expertise to assist organizations in the assessment of technology related risks as well as the development and implementation of real-world, pragmatic, solutions to mitigate risk, seize opportunities, and achieve compliance.






Chris Caprio, Chief Financial Officer, Focus Technology

Joining Focus in 2017, Chris lends his 20+ years of experience in planning, forecasting and reporting financial data. During his tenure he has been a key contributor to the company’s modernization, transformation and record company growth. Recognized as an industry thought leader, Chris serves as Chair for the Financial Executives International (FEI) Boston and the CFO Leadership Council Boston Chapter and is a sought-after keynote speaker at industry events across the country.


Ben Bielak, Chief Information Officer, iSpecimen

Ben brings 25 plus years of executive and senior information technology experience to iSpecimen. In his role at iSpecimen as Chief Information Officer, Ben is responsible for technology delivery and data strategy and services. He most recently served as the Chief Information Officer at GNS Healthcare, a leading casual machine learning product and services company, and as Director of Academic Technology at Harvard University. Prior to his work at GNS and Harvard, Bielak was the Chief Information Officer at Dovetail Health, a high-growth product and services company focused on reducing costs through pharmacy-focused interventions. He previously held roles as Manager of Development and Integration at Boston Medical Center and Senior Manager of Technology at Sapient.

Hillary Caplan, CPA, is an assurance manager in CohnReznick’s Boston, MA office. She has five years of public accounting experience, providing audit, technical accounting, financial statement preparation, and IPO readiness services. Her primary industry concentration is technology in which she works closely with clients to meet their unique needs. Hillary is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts and was the recipient of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (Mass CPAs) 2021 Women to Watch Emerging Leader Award.
